What's Shakin' Wednesday
Things have been really crazy in my little corner of the world. It's been hard to get 2 shakes in each day, but like I tell my friends on the Challenge, "one shake is better than no shake." I was accepted into the YMCA Community Shape Up program. It's really awesome because not only is it FREE to members and non members such as me, but our group meets twice each week with our amazing trainer, Julie, and workout together after she teaches us valuable information about living healthier lifestyles. Guess what fits in to that lifestyle? Body by Vi shakes! So, I'm on track losing 1 pound each week.
Did you know that 3500 calories equal one pound?! That's actually not a whole lot when you consider the types and quantity of food people eat without any exercise. You could gain a pound in 2 or 3 days! During my YMCA class, I learned about a cool free app called My Fitness Pal. It makes it so easy to complete my food journal which is something I've never successfully done until now. Among other things, it counts my calories and tracks my exercise. You should give it a try!
Weekly Shake Recipe
With the holidays upon us, I thought you might enjoy this new recipe. I made it yesterday...Yummy!
4 oz almond milk, soy milk, or low fat milk
4 oz Egg Nog or low fat Egg Nog
2 scoops Vi-Shape shake mix
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
Blend with ice
You might even want to add vanilla extract and nutmeg.
Ms. Rosa joined the Challenge a couple of months ago, and now she's signed on as a Promoter. I'm so happy to have her on my team! She is a constant encouragement to others to "go for it". She so enthusiastic about the product and has experienced great results so far. Ms. Rosa, has already gotten several friends to join her on the Challenge. Way to go, Ms. Rosa! You are going to help so many people regain their health and confidence.
