Marketplace Holiday Fair

The Women's Council of Greater Baton Rouge held a Holiday MarketPlace Fair showcasing the businesses, products, handmade crafts and gifts of our members. I had the privilege of participating this year. I didn't have any of my greeting cards and paper crafts. Instead, I premiered my handmade cupcake Christmas ornaments.
 Joyful Cupcake Ornaments!

You might remember the cupcake display for my birthday that I later used to display Valentine's Day cards, I used it again for these adorable Joyful Cupcake Ornaments. You'll remember that my mom made the cupcake display. Well, Mom even made a few ornaments for the show. I only shared with her the vision for the ornament, and she ran with it. Certainly a relationship where I don't mind knowing that if I give her an inch that she'll go 5 miles :)

Sorry for the poor picture. I took it with my phone.

My dear friend, Dale Edwards, is a very talented crafter. She had some of her work displayed at my table. She kept me laughing all night! There are generations between us, but we always have such a great time together! Dale looked out for me the entire night just as my mom would have. Mom took Triston and picked him up from football practice for me. What would I do without my family? Candace, my sister, surprised me and came out to support me. She did some networking and even won a door prize. Keshala even took off from her evening job to come support me. Don't just love it when friends surprise you with the sweetest gestures of love? I regret that I didn't get a picture of Dale, but here is a picture of her beautiful origami mobiles.

Of course I represented Body by Vi and introduced it to many ladies who have the desire and potential to live healthier lives. Samples of the shake were flying everywhere! Ladies had jokes about the healthy shake and the cupcake ornaments. *chuckles* The thing is that instead of consuming a cupcake, you can look at it hanging from your Christmas tree while drinking your healthy shake.

I even ran into the mother of a young lady who was a member of a youth program that I coordinated at the YWCA years ago. I didn't recognize her at first, but when she told me her daughter's name, Brittany, I knew right away. I'm so glad she didn't let the moment pass. She said that her daughter is doing well, a senior at LSU and is going to be excited that she saw me because "Brittany was crazy about Ms. Tiffany". I was crazy about them, too! At the end of the night, we snapped the picture to the right. With all that, I'd say last night was a GREAT night!

To say that I didn't take many pictures at the show, this post is full of them:) I hope you've enjoyed them.
